Goldsbrough Apartments

Paynter Dixon was engaged to carry out roof repair and replacement works at Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments in Pyrmont.

The project involved the replacement of the 100m long upgrade of existing roof sheeting on the atrium roof which was damaged in a hailstorm.

Significant scaffolding and waterproofing was required to remove the roof and protect the internal areas positioned over an atrium 15 floors high.

A progressive system was established to remove the existing roof, conduct repairs and modifications to the structural steel, prepare and paint in a protective coating system, crane lift and install 8m bondor insulated roofing sheets.

The project involved numerous latent conditions as the steel condition was revealed which was managed equitably.

The project also involved installation of solar panels and was also the single largest residential solar panel installation in the southern hemisphere.
