A design and construct project which included early client involvement.
Aged-care facility Fresh Hope Care wanted to expand its capacity but also wanted to ensure that there was a seamless connection to the existing facilities.
In an excellent example of Early Client Involvement (ECI), Paynter Dixon worked with Fresh Hope Care to scope out a plan that would deliver a successful outcome.
After extensive design work, Paynter Dixon developed a construction plan for the site at Pendle Hill in Sydney’s west which would create new capacity, but also deliver functionality.
The scope of work included:
- 17 new units, taking the total to 74
- A major upgrade to the kitchen facilities
- Underground car park
The facility continued to operate during building work, so the construction program was carefully drafted to minimise disruption.
