Specialist strata solutions

Paynter Dixon is a leading provider of specialist remedial, restorative and preventative services for strata clients.

We are highly experienced in working on complex projects where issues can arise during the remediation process. Attuned to strata priorities, our team resolves these issues harmoniously and with a conscious understanding of time, cost, quality, compliance and safety.

Cladding solutions

Paynter Dixon is renowned for removing and replacing combustible cladding. Our end-to-end process manages risk and cost from the outset. This includes building investigation and design phases, authority approvals and construction.

Thinking outside the square, façade repairs can present an opportunity to uplift and refresh the building with an eye to increasing property value. We also explore opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint by recycling used building materials.

Communication expertise

Communication is the key to delivering a successful project. We deploy a range of strategies to understand the lines of communication on a project with the purpose of understanding all key stakeholders.

For example, we visualise these communication lines through diagrams which define the path for documentation notifications.

Keeping people in the loop requires daily vigilance. Working hand-in-hand with the properties’ operation team, we ensure the site can operate as close as possible to its normal day. This is why we establish minimum notification periods early in the project.

Live environments

Our experience of live and occupied environments is our point of difference. We commit to property solutions that work in and around existing and occupied buildings. At the end of the day, it’s about upholding the safety and comfort of strata communities.

As a minimum, we implement disruption notifications, commencement notifications, and delay notifications templates. We also employ a weekly project report, which is an effective tool for connecting with stakeholders beyond the project team. This report identifies works completed in the past week, works to be completed in the upcoming week, any major disruptions, and any delays experienced. We also attach progress photos to supplement the copy.

Compliance with DBP Act

The Design and Building Practitioners Act (DBPA) has changed the goal posts of compliance – avoid the trap of relying on old advice.

NSW Fair Trading has urged strata decision makers to engage design and building practitioners who are registered under the DBP Scheme, such as Paynter Dixon. Our inhouse expertise is best placed to manage this rigorous process through the design and construction cycle.
