In partnering with the client to enhance occupancy comfort and aesthetic appeal, Paynter Dixon (PD) has preserved the status and commercial value of residential apartments in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Marine Parade is a desirable residential address in Sydney’s eastern suburbs overlooking Maroubra’s iconic surfing beach.
With an initial brief of waterproofing a building comprising four apartments, the work led to rejuvenating the building’s façade and certain internal areas.
PD worked with the owner to bring their vision to life of capturing panoramic views of Maroubra beach by converting the balconies into living areas. Guillotine windows have replaced louvre systems, capturing coastal views while enhancing comfort through high-performance glazing.
The intricate window system also features a four metre pane of glass which slides up and down via a pulley system. New windows and doors, rendering, cavity flashing and structural steel all contribute to waterproofing of the building.
Stainless steel balustrades and a change of colour scheme further distinguish the façade.
Through every facet of the project, PD has paid close attention to the overall detail and aesthetic appeal of the building.
