Frensham School Boarding Houses

A multi-storey build in a live environment.

Frensham School was established more than 100 years ago with just three students.

Today, it is one of Australia’s most prestigious girl’s schools, with 70 per cent of its enrolment boarders.

The school, which is located at Mittagong in the Southern Highlands of NSW, engaged Paynter Dixon to design and manage a major extension to two boarding houses – McCarthy and Bryant.

The project included:

  • Construction of additional boarding rooms
  • Group study areas
  • Staff quarters and kitchen areas.
  • Refurbishment of boarding rooms and bathrooms
  • Significant civil works including construction of new roads, paths and stormwater drains

Paynter Dixon also constructed new residential facilities for staff.

The work was completed without disruption to the school’s operations.
