Crows Nest is a highly sought-after place to live, thanks to its vibrant retail strip on Willoughby Road.

But the existing supermarket at the northern end was a tired-looking entry point.

Leading development company PAYCE engaged Paynter Dixon to construct a new mixed-use building, including:

  • A 3600-square metre Coles supermarket
  • Childcare centre
  • Bank
  • Cafe
  • Hairdresser

The project, on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, also includes 71 luxury apartments located in low-rise above the shopping centre and a four-level basement car park and sound-proofed loading dock.

The site is located on a busy intersection, with neighbouring residential blocks.

The completed project was an outstanding success, with the apartments setting a new benchmark for Crows Nest and the shopping complex proving a popular addition to the retail strip.
